In contrast, counseling primarily addresses past experiences and emotional challenges.  It provides a safe space for individuals to process their feelings, work through trauma, and engage in healing. Counseling aims to help clients understand the roots of their emotional struggles and develop healthier coping mechanisms, so they can move         forward in a positive direction.
